What is the recipe for maple leaf cookies?

To make maple syrup cookies, you will need flour, butter, sugar, maple syrup, egg, baking powder and salt.

Start by mixing the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Then add the butter cut into small pieces and mix until you obtain a sandy texture. Then add the egg and maple syrup and mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough.

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface and cut it into leaf shapes using a cookie cutter. Place the biscuits on a baking tray covered with parchment paper and bake them for around 10 minutes at 180°C.

Once baked, let the cookies cool before eating them. You can also decorate them with a little maple syrup or icing sugar for more deliciousness.
