How to make Amaretto?
Amaretto is an alcoholic drink that remains different from other digestives, because it does not come from distilleries. The manufacturing process does not require a still. Once peeled, the almonds are finely chopped. They are infused in alcohol for a month. Some recipes use herbs and spices to accentuate the fragrant side.
Next, manufacturers prepare a syrup using sugar and water. This mixture is incorporated with alcohol and almonds. It is left to age for several months to obtain this much sought-after bitter taste.
Homemade Amaretto recipe
To prepare a delicious homemade Amaretto, you must have a tablespoon of almond extract and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Add 19 cl of water, a quarter cup of brown sugar and half a cup of sugar. To perfect the taste, we also provide 25 cl of vodka.
Bring the brown sugar, sugar and water to a boil. Boil until the sugar is completely dissolved. It is worth removing the syrup from the heat to let it cool for a quarter of an hour.
All that remains is to add the syrup extracts and vodka. The mixture can be stored in an airtight container. This Amaretto should be eaten in moderation.

You can prepare various refreshing cocktails with Amaretto.
Cocktail “Cherry Roses”
To prepare this cocktail, you need 50 ml of vermouth, 10 ml of Amaretto liqueur, 150 ml of cherry juice, a piece of cherry cocktail and 200 g of ice cubes.
Start by filling a glass with ice cubes. In a shaker, stir the Amaretto liqueur and the vermouth before adding the cherry juice. It remains only to mix all these preparations and decorate with cherries. This very fresh cocktail is drunk with a straw.
Cocktail Ricky
Here is another fresh cocktail made with Amaretto. For the preparation, it is necessary to have 50 ml of Amaretto liqueur, 120 ml of ginger ale, 2 drops of bitter Angostura and ice cubes. For decoration, a piece of cocktail cherry and a slice of orange are used. As in the previous recipe, start by filling the glass with ice cubes. In the latter, we add the liqueur, the soda or and the Angostura. All that remains is to decorate with a piece of cocktail cherry and a slice of orange. This cocktail is also drunk with a straw.
Sparkling flirtation
Here is another sparkling cocktail that consists of Amaretto liqueur (10 ml), dry champagne (100 ml), and orange juice (20 ml). Just mix the liqueur and orange juice in a shaker. You can pour the mixture into a glass of champagne. It only remains to decorate the cocktail using an orange zest in the shape of a slice. This cocktail can be served to celebrate the end of the year celebrations. It replaces the traditional sparkling wine or glass of champagne.
